This scholarship has been established in honor of Paul Vanderslice, who served as Music and Choral Director from 1961 to 1990. The scholarship will be funded on an annual basis in the amount of $2500.00. The [...]]]></description>

Released to airplay on May 5th, the project soared to #3 in 2 weeks on the Savant record label. Papa John, long reconized as a Hammond B-3 master, is joined by son Johnny DeFrancesco on guitar and Glenn Ferracone on drums. This disc grooves hard, and has already been critically acclaimed.</p>
<p>The DeFrancesco Brothers self- titled release continued it&#8217;s residence in the Jazz Top 50. The project peaked at #4 in March and has enjoyed heavy airplay since it&#8217;s release in January 2011 on the Vectordisc label. It&#8217;s 20 week stay in the Jazz Top 50 tops all other jazz releases in the past 3 years. The group features Joey DeFrancesco on Organ, Johnny DeFrancesco on Guitar and Glenn Ferracone on Drums. The Album features all original compositions.</p>
<p>Both projects were recorded and produced at The Music Centre in Exton, P.A.. The Music Centre&#8217;s Glenn Ferracone received Drumming, Recording, Mixing, Mastering and Production credits.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Papa John DeFrancesco&#8217;s new CD- &#8220;Philadelphia Story&#8221; flew up the jazz charts upon it&#8217;s release last week, residing at #17, and receiving heavy airplay. Papa John is one of the baddest Hammond B-3 burners in the business, with the disc showcasing him well. The project features Johnny DeFrancesco on guitar, Glenn Ferracone on drums and Joey DeFrancesco on trumpet. This groove heavy CD has already been critically acclaimed.</p>
<p>The Music Centre&#8217;s Glenn Ferracone received drumming, recording, mixing and mastering credits on the project. All production was done in-house at The Music Centre, Exton, PA.</p>
