Ann
Fontanella (violin, viola)
is finishing her B.A. in music at the University
of Pennsylvania. In 2004 she earned a Masters Certificate
in Violin Performance from
Yale University.
Ann has studied with Sherry Kloss, Robert dePasquale
and Erick Friedman. She has completed programs of
study at the Peabody Institute and West Chester University.
An extraordinary violinist and composer, Ann has been
astounding audiences since the age of 10, making her debut
with David Zinman and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Ann has performed with regional orchestras as well as
in recital programs in England and the mid-Atlantic US.
Ann has several years experience teaching private lessons
and often conducts Masterclasses in conjunction with her
concerts. Her approach is to teach students to teach themselves.
She focuses on both technique and theory, giving students
a thorough grounding in music. |
Elyssa
Gilmar (cello)
has
a B.S. and her M. M. from Boston University. Elyssa
is currently an active member of The Harrisburg Symphony
Orchestra, as well as a clinician for high schools and
colleges. Along with winning numerous awards, she has
performed with Rod Stewart, Yanni, Josh Groban, Ronan
Tynan, Robert Plant, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Beatlemania.
Her teachers include members of the Philadelphia Orchestra,
Los Angeles Philharmonic and Boston Symphony.

Krista
Nielsen (piano, cello)
received
her B.M. from West Chester University. While at the University
she was co-principal of the WCU Orchestra. Krista has
been teaching individual students and coaching string
and piano trios, quartets and quintets since 1995, and
was a member of the Belle Soiree Piano Trio. Krista
recently recorded for All My Children, plays regularly
with Andrew Lipke and Missing Palmer West, recorded with
local and tri-state area artists Laura Shay, Lotus, American
Babies, and others as part of WXPN's Philly Local Association
and is featured regularly on WXPN favorites. |
Catherine
Brown
(voice, piano)
is a singer, voice teacher, and public relations consultant
based in West Chester, PA. Her opera roles include Hanna
in Oscar Straus’s A Waltz Dream with Concert Operetta
Theater and the Third Boy in Mozart’s The Magic
Flute with the Academy of Vocal Arts. She has sung in
the ensembles of Bizet’s Carmen (Rowan University
Opera) and Gilbert and Sullivan’s Patience (Savoy
Company). Catherine
holds a B.A. in music and German from St. Olaf College,
where she was a recipient of the Harriet J. Marty Vocal
Scholarship. Following graduation, she taught music
and English in Germany on a Fulbright grant. Catherine
has held public relations positions at the Philadelphia
Orchestra and the Academy of Vocal Arts.

Paul
Klinefelter (double bass, electric
bass) received a performance diploma from
the University
of the Arts where he studied with Neil Courtney, assistant
principal bass with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Paul is
also a member of the Harrisburg Symphony and an active
chamber and solo recitalist in addition to his jazz and
blues pursuits. He has studied with Tony D’Addono,
Eligio Rossi and Lou Kosma.

Frances
Tate (flute)
Frances
Tate is an active teacher and performer in the Philadelphia
and Baltimore areas. She is currently second flutist
with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, piccolo
with the Lancaster Symphony, and Principal Flute with
the Opera Company of New Jersey. In addition she performs
regularly with the Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra and
the Baltimore Symphony. In 2002 she was second place
winner in the National Flute Association's Piccolo Artist
Competition.
Frances has a Bachelor's Degree from University of Michigan
and a Master's from the Peabody Conservatory. Her principal
teachers include Leone Buyse, Robert Willoughby and
Laurie Sokoloff.

Vanderslice (saxophone, clarinet)
has his B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University,
M. A. from Colombia University and U.S. Navy School of
Music. He served as a department head for the Tredyffrin/Easttown
school district. |
Philip
Forlano (trumpet)
holds Bachelor and Masters
Degrees in Music Education from West Chester University.
He studied keyboard harmony and jazz improvisation with
Jimmie Amadie. Phil has played saxophone, clarinet
and flute with the Reading Civic Opera, Fulton and Hershey
Theatre Orchestras, and with show bands for Steve Allen,
Al Martino, Red Skelton and Bobby Rydell. |
David
Thomas (piano)
received his B. S. from West
Chester University and a M.M. from Peabody Conservatory.
He studied with Lukas Foss, Jacques Voois and Ron Thomas.
He is currently a faculty member at the University of
the Arts. Dave is a published composer of classical

Darlene
Poulicci (piano)
graduated the School of Music at West Chester University
with BS in Music Education. Over 30 years experience
teaching private piano and theory. Taught music
at Garnet Valley and Octorara School districts.
Served as Choir Director and organist/pianist in Chester
and Delaware County churches.

Brosius (piano)
earned her Masters in Piano
Pedagogy and her B.S. in Music Education, Vocal/Choral
– Keyboard (K- 12) from West Chester University.
She teaches music and performs with the Brandywine Singers.

Raffetto (piano)
received his B.A. in Music Education from West Chester
University and his M.A. from the University of the Arts
in Philadelphia. Ted instructed Chorus for the Downingtown
School District and wrote a book for drums, "Keep
it Basic." Ted is an performs in several
local bands and has played at the Walt Disney Epco Center
and at President Clinton's first inauguration. |
Christine
Campbell (voice, piano)
has taught and coached voice for over 25 years. A
serious student
of vocal pedagogy, she has also studied vocal and
breathing anatomy and sound healing, and is well versed
in the vocal rehabilitation techniques developed by
Dr. Satloff.
Christine
pursued her professional studies in voice at West
Chester University, Philadelphia College of Performing
Arts and Westminster Choir College. She has studied
with such master vocal teachers as Harold Parker and
Dolores Ferraro, operatic vocal coach Eric Lowden,
contemporary coach Jerry Jaye and jazz improvisationist
Morgan Maddox.
Christine
draws from an extensive instructional toolkit to give
her students solid technical skills which translate
to all genres.

Sean
Townsend (guitar)
received his B.M. from
Berklee College of Music and his M.M. from the University
of Miami. He performs in two rock bands and is an active
composer/performer of jingles for commercials, video
games and film soundtracks.

Stu
Frederick (guitar)
has been a performing musician and stage performer
for nearly four decades.
He has been a member of the Philadelphia area singer-songwriter
community since his high school days, appearing in
regional venues and festivals throughout the area.
In the mid-seventies Stu was a figure in the growing
Seattle, Washington rock music community after serving
four years in the US Coast Guard. Stu is PA certified
music teacher and graduate of the West Chester University
School of Music.
His
band, The Rivers Rockabilly Trio, is a high-profile
local tribute group celebrating the earliest American
rock and roll.

Mullen (drums, percussion)
studies with Armand
Santorelli & Carl Mottola. He performs clinics
and concerts with Drum Squared, an innovative percussion
duo, collaborations with Jerry Mulligan, Red Rodney,
Manny Album, Steve Giordano, Abstract Truth; Joe is
a sought-after clinician at the University level and
performs as sideman for numerous recordings.

Ferracone (drums, percussion)
has a B.S. from
the University of Virginia. Glenn toured nationally
with Joe Cocker, Hunter Davis, Johnny DeFrancesco, and
“Papa” John DeFrancesco. Collaborated with
Steve Allen, Chubby Checker, Robert Goulet. Produced
and engineered many critically acclaimed recordings.
Performed at major venues internationally.
